FAQ

What is 1Deck?

1Deck is a deliberately minimal loyalty-card wallet. It stores your loyalty cards and gets them in front of a cashier's scanner as fast as possible. There's no account, no ads, and no remote card database — the core flow works completely offline.

Where are my cards stored?

All your cards are stored in a local file on your device. They never leave your device unless you explicitly export a backup yourself.

Does 1Deck need an internet connection?

No. Adding, viewing, and presenting cards all work completely offline. The bundled brand catalogue and logos ship with the app, so no lookup ever happens over the network.

What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

Uninstalling the app deletes its local storage, including your cards, unless you exported a backup beforehand. We recommend exporting a backup before uninstalling or switching devices.

How do I back up or transfer my cards?

On Android and iOS, use the overflow menu on the main screen to export all your cards — including any custom logo photos — to a single .zip file via the share sheet. Import that file back in on the same or a different device at any time.

What does crash reporting collect?

1Deck uses Sentry for anonymous crash and error reports. Only device, OS, and app-version metadata is sent — card names, barcode values, and logo paths are always stripped before anything leaves your device.

Is 1Deck free?

Yes. Every feature is available to everyone regardless of purchase. There's an optional one-time "support the developer" purchase in the overflow menu — it doesn't unlock anything, it's just a way to say thanks.
